About Gladstone Park

Gladstone Park was originally apart of the Broadmeadows district, which was once inhabited by the Wurundjeri nation of Indigenous Australia. In 1840, the European settlers, decided to use Gladstone Park for agriculture.

Gladstone Park is located in the north-western suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 15 kilometres from the CBD. The local governing area for the suburb is the City of Hume. The 2016 census indicated that Gladstone had a population of 8,338 people.

Gladstone Park, derived its name after Thomas Gladstone, who owned the local land in the 1800s. However, the residential suburb was not developed until the 1960s and 1970s, which was apart of the Melbourne’s outer suburban expansion project.
