About Glen Iris

 

Named after the residence of solicitor J.C. Turner, one of the earliest settlers in the district.

 

 

Glen Iris is a south eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 10 km south-east of Melbourne’s Central Business District. Its local government area are the Cities of Boroondara and Stonnington. At the 2011 Census, Glen Iris had a population of 24,948.

Running through Glen Iris is Gardiners Creek, a waterway hemmed by lush reserves and parklands. Its rolling streetscapes, stately residences, old churches and tended gardens give it the feel of an exclusive garden suburb, despite the fact that a drive to the city takes less than 20 minutes – often less if you use one of the many forms of public transport on offer in the area.

    Mark did a great job for my wife and I. We wanted to purchase a house in Clayton and the whole process took just two weeks. He identified suitable properties, reviewed them, and undertook the bidding at auction on our behalf. His knowledge of how to bid at an auction was crucial to our success. In my view, let him do it for you; he has the experience as he does it all the time.

    As I am working overseas, it would have been very difficult to manage the buying process on my own. Mark did an excellent job and made my life so much easier. He filmed the initial and final inspections and sent videos and his assessments of property to me promptly. I really liked that he pointed out both the good and bad of a property. He liaised with my solicitor, building inspectors and the seller on my behalf. Mark also managed to find suitable tenants for me within one week of settlement. I would recommend WREA to others.
