About Plenty

The suburb of Plenty first opened its Post Office 1853, however it was replaced by Whittlesea in the mid 1800s. They then opened another Post Office on the 3rd of August 1923.

Plenty is located in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 20 kilometres from the CBD. The local governing area for Plenty is the Shire of Nillumbik, and the 2016 census indicated that the suburb had a population of 2,364.
